SEASON TICKET
Quarterly and
monthly season tickets for travel in 1st and 2nd class
between two stations are issued subject to the following conditions:-
Season tickets must bear the
signature or thumb impression of the holder, in the absence of which the ticket
would be treated as invalid.
Season ticket holders are issued an
identity card by the station issuing the season ticket and the season ticket is
valid only with the identity card.
No alteration is permitted
Season ticket holders are not permitted
to travel in reserved coaches and trains governed by distance restrictions.
Season tickets are not transferable.
Season tickets can be issued for a
maximum distance of 150 kms.
Season tickets can be renewed 3 days
in advance of the date of expiry of the earlier ticket.
Luggage up to
a maximum of 15 Kgs. In 1st class and 10 Kgs.
In 2nd class is permitted free of charge on one ticket. Excess
luggage to be booked before commencement of journey otherwise penal charges
will be levied.
SEASON TICKET FOR STUDENTS: Season
tickets to students are issued for First and Second Class up to a maximum
distance of 150 Kms. The student monthly season
tickets will be charged at half of the normal adult season ticket fare and
quarterly season tickets: on payment of 2.7 times of the concessional
fares of Monthly Season Tickets vide (I) above. These MSTs/QSTs
will be issued without any minimum charge to the student, to whom the tickets
are issued, should not exceed 25 years in the case of student in general, 27
years in the case of students belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Tribes and 35
years in the case of Research Scholars.
Note: Season tickets to students of scheduled castes
and scheduled tribes shall be issued as under: -
(I) Monthly Season Tickets: On payment of
50% below the normal student Monthly Season Ticket fare.
(II) Quarterly Season Tickets: On payment
of 2.7 times of the concessional fares of Monthly
Season Tickets vide (I) above.
The fares for monthly and Quarterly
Season tickets are rounded off to the next higher multiple of Rs.5 (five).
Free second class ordinary monthly
season tickets to students studying in classes up to 12th Standard
to Girls and upto 10th standard to buys
for commuting daily between the stations serving their place of residence and
school, shall be issued subject to all other conditions of monthly season
tickets to students.
SEASON TICKET TO CHILDREN: Season ticket
to children will be issued at half of the adult season ticket fare.
SEASON TICKET FOR THE PEOPLE OF
UNORGANIZED SECTOR: Low value second class ordinary monthly season tickets for Rs. 15/- only shall be issued to the people of unorganized
sector like vegetable vendor, domestic helper, agriculture labourers,
construction workers etc. who are having a monthly income less than Rs. 400/-. These Monthly Season Tickets are issued for a
distance of 100 KM. only, on production of a certificate from the M.P. or
M.L.A., and another separate certificate from District Magistrate/S.D.O. or
B.D.O. that the concerned person is working in unorganized sector with a
monthly income less than Rs. 400/-. These
certificates are valid upto 3 months from the date of
issue.
